Birajini Harijan
Birajini's father was keeping two families in two different areas. Her mother, a heavy drinker, does paddy (rice) field work for about $12/mo. but spends much of it on rice wine, neglecting her children. No sufficient food, clothing, schooling, and attention. Now with us, Birajini (nickname Sarma) and brother Biru have hope for the future. Birajini is now fulfilling her dream in the GNM Nursing program.
