Arun's mother collects leaves from the jungle to make and sell plates, while his father works in paddy fields, together earning about $16 per month. They live in a mud hut with a straw roof unable to provide enough food for their son. Out of concern for Arun's future, they came to us seeking help. Now he is in our care, freed from the heavy burdens of poverty. His dream is to become a teacher someday.
