Your tax-deductible gift provides for the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of that child. Good News India Child Sponsors will receive a photograph and an information card about the child they are rescuing. You will also receive quarterly correspondence from the child that you are sponsoring.

Most of the GNI children can be sponsored for $40 per month (U.S.) or $480 per year.

The cost of living is higher near our Northern Dream Centers, so the cost of becoming a Child Sponsor for these high-risk girls is $55 per month (U.S.).

At present, 100% of your sponsorship amount goes directly to India for the child(ren).

Your sponsorship gift goes to provide three meals a day for a child, hygiene supplies, school supplies, medical care as needed, a safe place to live, teachers and workers who help and model Christian living and give regular instruction in Christian disciplines.

Absolutely! Sponsors are encouraged to send cards and/or personal letters to their child, which will be translated each way. (This process takes several weeks.) But individual birthday gifts, etc., are not encouraged since not all the children are sponsored and one or a few receiving a special gift would cause needless confusion or hurt amongst the other children. However, we WELCOME general donations over and above your regular support, which are used for special occasions or items, such as toys, games for all, sports equipment, classroom equipment, dormitory needs, etc. They are presented to all the children in honor of your child. You may include in your card or letter sheets of stickers for your child, bookmarks, photos of your family, your pet, etc. The children love to hear from their sponsor!

Yes, you are the only Sponsor of your child. That is why it is vitally important that you stay faithful with your commitment. Your money makes all the difference in your child’s life and when a sponsor fails to send in their monthly support, GNI picks up the slack.

You have the opportunity to continue sponsoring your child through grade school, high school and even through college if you are willing and able. In India, high school ends at the finish of Class 10. Jr. College, (11-12), costs GNI an extra $15 (U.S.) per month or $50 (U.S.) per month. Then depending on the college course your child chooses, the cost of their schooling raises the sponsorship amount to either $50 or $100 per month.

We understand that sometimes circumstances force Child Sponsors to reassess their commitment. We ask that you contact us immediately and, if possible, give us a 2-3 month notice so we can find another sponsor.

Occasionally a GNI child is relocated out of our care. When this happens, we will inform the Child Sponsor immediately and ask that you consider extending your compassion to another child.

Yes! You can send donations to our Projects Fund that will allow us to make do maintenance work and beautify our Dream Centers. In addition, an Emergency Fund will help us with operational costs when a Child Sponsor misses a monthly donation.
