Subrata's mother makes plates out of leaves that she gathers from a jungle and his father does paddy field labor, together earning about $14 per month. His father is an alcoholic who spends much of their income on homemade rice wine rather than on sufficient amounts of food for his family. Now in our loving care, Subrata is receiving all he needs for a healthy and bright future. His current dream is to become a pastor.
